Gareth is an award winning choreographer and educator who has been at the forefront of dance and excellence in the midlands for the past 15 years. Gareth’s passion for giving young dancers the best possible start in their careers developed in 2008 when taking his award winning group addict dance to the youth dance England finals at Sadlers Wells this eye opening experience led to the formation of Addict Dance Academy as a full time training institute allowing young dancers from all social and economic backgrounds access to full time elitist training without the price tag, opening the doors to thousands more young dancers to have the opportunity to not only chase but achieve their dreams of a career in the dance and creative industry.
Gareth is extremely proud of the international reputation the academy is now generating and the dancers living their dreams all over the globe.

Ben Davies has had an extensive dance and choreographic career taking him all over the world. He has worked with artists such as Ellie Goulding, Leona Lewis, Years and Years, Ella Eyre, Eleni Foureira, Carrie Underwood, Riton, OMI and Jess Glynn. Ben has choreographed on tv shows such as The X Factor, BBC Music Awards, The Voice, Your Face Sounds Familiar, Eurovision Song Contest, Britains Got Talent, The Gadget Show, The European Video Music Awards, Amita Motion and Got To Dance to name a few. Ben choreographed West End show “West End Celebration” at the Palace Theatre. He has choreographed adverts for the likes of Nickelodeon, Sky One, George ASDA, Marks and Spencer’s, VERY, BooHoo, Mercedes and Sports Direct. Ben has choreographed hair and fashion shows for brands like Schwarzkopf, L’Oréal, Converse UK, Nike, NEXT, Fashion For Heroes and Shop Direct. Ben has taught at masterclasses and events all over the UK and multiple countries overseas.

MATT GREEN
Matt Green trained as a theatre director at Rose Bruford College, graduating in 2004. Upon graduation, Matt established his own theatre company working with new writers, actors and technical teams, touring new plays throughout the region. Alongside this, he worked extensively with regional theatres to help produce a number of new works including an adaptation of classic stories.
Matt later retrained as a teacher gaining a PGCE in Post 16 education (University of Bedford) in 2011 followed by the higher education equivalent, PGCHELT in Performing Arts (Rose Bruford College) in 2015. Matt is a Fellow of the Advance Higher Education Authority.

As a dancer Jared’s versatility enabled him to have a career ranging from performing in musicals in the West End to being a principal Dancer with Matthew Bourne’s – ‘New Adventures’ and finally dancing in Stadiums & Arenas around the world Touring with the likes of Kylie Minogue, Take That, Little Mix, Girls Aloud, The Saturdays and many more. Dancing on TV shows such as The XFactor, Britains Got Talent, Strictly Come Dancing, The Brits, Mobo’s, EMA’s the list goes on. He was also one of few Dance Captains for The London 2012 Olympics & Paralympics Closing ceremonies.

Remy completed her training in Leicester where she gained a Trinity Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre. She then began her career performing on a number of television shows including – Britain’s Got Talent, Ashley Banjo’s Secret Street Crew, X Factor UK and Got to Dance. She continued to work within the industry for companies such as Samsung, Papa Johns, Imagine Theatre and various UK artists. Alongside this she was building on her administrative role within Addict Dance Academy as part of the core team. Remy was fortunate enough to then go on to work for Princess Cruise Lines for 3 years as a dancer/singer; an opportunity that meant she was able to travel the world whilst performing for a living! She then returned to her hometown where she has continued to work closely with the team at Addict Dance Academy.

Emily trained at the Allesley School of Dance in Coventry & London Studio Centre (BA Hons, Theatre Dance), and is a qualified BBOdance and Acrobatic Arts teacher. Specialising in technique training, Emily has over 10 years’ experience teaching students at vocational level and has been a resident teacher and choreographer in vocational colleges such as Bodywork, and Addict Dance Academy since graduating herself in 2009. Emily was also Director of ‘Emily Jade Theatre Arts’ in London from 2010-2020, preparing younger students for vocational level training.

Peter Parker trained at the Central School of Ballet under Christopher Gable, from here he graduated into Northern Ballet Theatre again under the directorship of Mr. Gable.
From 1988-1994 he danced in all of the companies repertoire including Coppelia, Don Quixote, Memoir Imaginare and Strange Meeting by Michael Pink, Simple Man, Lipizzaner and The Bronte’s by Gillian Lynn. D’ensemble by Graham Lustig and Extenzions by Derek Williams. As principle of the company other roles included Albrecht from Giselle, Siegfried in Swan Lake, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, the Prince in Cinderella, La Corsaire pas de deux and the Grand pas de deux from Don Quixote.
In 1994 Peter moved to France and danced as principle dancer with Ballet Du Rhin. This gave him the opportunity to dance a large variation of neo classical repertoire such as Stool Games by Kylian, Step Text by William Forsythe, Dance, Chamber Symphony and Mandarin by Lucinda Childs, Voluntaries by Tetley, Grosse Fuge by Hans Van Manen and Worchek by Davide Bombana, Green Table, Pavanne Pour Un Enfant and Grand Ville by Kurt Josse to name a few. The company also performed many traditional ballets such as Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, Nutcracker, La Sylphide and La Fille Mal Garde all of which Peter danced principle roles.
Guesting performances have included Nutcracker Pas de deux for Nevada Baller, and the Rite of Spring with Ballet Bejart.
Peter also created three pieces for Ballet Du Rhin.( Bird in the Hand, Bitter Harvest and Memoir Perdu.)
Peter has taught at the Northern Ballet School and Kate Simmons School, Derby Academy as guest teacher and is invited to be a guest teacher at international summer schools.
In 2010 he created a new full length Nutcracker for Manchester City Ballet in collaboration with Shannon Lilly.
In 2014 Peter and Shannon were finalists on Sky 1hd Got to Dance. They performed under the name of Bitter Harvest.
2016 was also a milestone year as “Shannon and Peter ” were the first couple to take ballet to the final of Britain’s Got Talent.
Peter and Shannon run their own associate program Midlands Associates and are co-directors of BalletFest.

ROSIE PRICE
Rosie Price, BA Hons, CBTS (RTS RAD), trained at Elmhurst School for Dance and graduated from Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance. Returning to the midlands, Rosie works as a freelance contemporary, ballet and body conditioning teacher and choreographer within the community. She holds an MSc in Dance Science and co-founded RECBallet which holds workshops in the midlands for children and young students with an interest in entering the dance world.
Completing the teacher’s course in Prague with the Jose Limón Foundation she’s the former Head of Contemporary and Choreography at The School of Ballet Theatre UK and now at Kings International Ballet Academy.
Rosie is a Royal Academy of Dance registered teacher and coaches’ classical ballet for Addict Dance Academy, Birmingham Royal Ballet Dance Track programme and Elmhurst Ballet School Young Dancers.

Grace began her professional training age 11 at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, Hertfordshire. Grace then furthered her classical ballet and contemporary training at the age of 16 at Central School of Ballet, London. Within her time at Central, she was given the opportunity to work with various choreographers such as Sharon Watson, Christopher Bruce, Christopher Marney. During her third year, Grace was offered a contract with Ballet Theatre UK and graduated with a First Class BA Honours Degree in Dance and Performance.

Elliott Richardson is a professional dancer, originally from Newark. He began dancing at a young age for fun, and upon joining Addict Dance Academy for college in 2015, he fell in love with dance and decided it would be a career he would pursue. As well as training at Addict for 2 years of college and 3 years of university, Elliott trained all over the UK as well as venturing out to Los Angeles and training with some of the worlds greatest dancers and choreographers.
Due to his hard work, training and networking skills, Elliott broke through into the UK industry while still in college, being represented by agencies such as: Dancers Inc, Kutes, Mass Talent and AMCK, and credits include: Pussycat Dolls, Mabel, The Brits, The Voice UK, Jingle Jangle (Netflix), Euros 2020 Closing ceremony and many more.
Since graduating in 2020, Elliott has continued to work in the industry as well as pass his knowledge onto his students while continuing to train and improve both as a dancer and teacher with hopes to eventually be someone everyone can look up to, as an undeniably great talent in the dance world.

Gareth Woodward; Artistic Director, Choreographer, Dancer, Educator, Mentor and DJ.
Born and raised in Nottingham, Gareth was first introduced to dance through Hip Hop. As an aspiring young DJ it was a natural progression to explore other elements of the culture.
Gareth started taking street dance classes at a local studio before travelling further afield to extend his knowledge in London, Los Angeles and later New York.
Gareth began his career as an established dancer in the commercial industry working with artists such as Mariah Carey, Cheryl, Take That and Coldplay.
Gareth has also performed on TV shows, The X Factor, The Voice, and The Royal Variety Performance, has worked with brands including Adidas, Nokia, T-Mobile, Cartoon Network, Cadburys, Morrisons, and featured in hit Bollywood movies.
These experiences allowed Gareth to work with renowned choreographers, Fatima Robinson, Tony Testa, and Kenrick Sandy to name a few. Always looking to expand his reach Gareth didn’t just absorb the steps but took in valuable knowledge, helping him develop not only as a performer but as a choreographer and creative artist.
In recent years, Gareth has began to establish himself as a choreographer, exploring both Hip Hop theatre and commercial avenues, sharing his vision through a variety of artistic endeavours.
Gareth’s work, Singularity (2018) and Ode To Dilla (2019) was presented at Breakin’ Convention’s UK Tour in Nottingham. This led to Gareth working on the 2020/21 tour as local representative for the city.
Gareth is the Founder and Co-Artistic Director of Unite The Scene, a leading arts organisation based in Nottingham, and champion of developing young peoples choreography through his award-winning programme Xzibit Young Creatives.
With a passion to educate, Gareth has built up over 10 years teaching experience. From working in further and higher education at dance conservatoires providing vocational training, to teaching in schools and delivering on community youth dance projects, Gareth is always able to get the best out of people.
Revisiting his passion for DJ-ing Gareth has also become a recognised name on the UK battle circuit as well as supporting music artists such as Big Daddy Kane.

Was a dancer that started in Newark and by the age of 16 found his way to addict dance academy. He trained at addict for 5 years, both the Btec and HND course followed by the BA honours course. Along side addict he trained with some of the biggest choreographers in London as well as the greatest dancers in Los Angeles.
During college Kailum found his way into the working professional world, and since graduating is still working now. His credits include some of the biggest names in music aswell as some of the biggest up coming artists/choreographers,

Ollie graduated with a Trinity National Diploma in Musical Theatre and 3 B.T.D.A Diplomas. Ollie has appeared in many shows such as, ‘Tap Factory’ (UK, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Europe and China Tour), ‘Simply Gershwin’ (Guest Tap Duo, UK Tour), ‘Spirit of the Dance’ (Lead Tapper, Worldwide), ‘Tap Dance Fever’ (UK, South Africa and Canada), ‘Taimid Seanachai – A Celtic Evolution’ (Canada), ‘Dora’ (West End) to name a few. He has danced in many different trade shows across the UK from Bridal Shows to Printwear and has also appeared in several television adverts. In 2018 Ollie co-created a new tap dancing act called ‘The Tap Chaps’. After releasing their 3 minute promo video, they were signed 24 hours later by an agent and had to create 2 different 45 minute shows. They now travel around the world performing their act on board several different cruise lines and at many corporate events.
Whilst Ollie isn’t away performing he teaches at colleges and does guest workshops across the UK. He is also on the faculty for Tap Attack teaching mainly the North and Midland associates. In 2018, Ollie became an IDO Adjudicator for the UK. He now represents the UK in the prestigious IDO World Tap Championships.

Jordan Maguire has travelled extensively around the world representing England in both Ballroom and Latin American dance. He is a world championship finalist who gained the title of team captain for the British team and ranked 1st in the UK leader board on various occasions. Jordan has performed on various dance productions including BBC Dance Proms (Royal Albert Hall), Baby Ballroom (ITV Dance Series) & various private dance demonstrations (Russia, Canada & Paris).

Ellie is professionally trained in musical theatre. She has worked in theatre, film and television throughout her career. Adrian began his professional training at Middlesex University with a degree in contemporary dance. After two years, he left to join Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts on a Scholarship where he graduated with a BA honours in Musical Theatre. After training Adrian began his teaching career and now teaches musical theatre, acting and singing.

RACHEL LEMMON
Rachel trained at the highly accredited London School of Musical Theatre (LSMT). Her qualifications include a Professional Musical Theatre Diploma, and an FDA in Musical Theatre gained at Newcastle College’s Performance Academy. In early 2021 Rachel became a certified practitioner in Vocal Health First Aid, accredited by Vocal Health Education. VHFA includes training in the anatomy and physiology of the voice.
Rachel has proudly run her own singing tuition school, Rachel Lemmon Singing Tuition, since 2014 and continues to help students toward successful Stage School and College auditions, and professional employment. Her industry experience has enabled her to specialize in vocal technique, repertoire, and audition preparation.

DYLAN JACOBS
Dylan is an Actor, Vocal Coach & Musical Director from Birmingham, UK. He trained in Musical Theatre at BOA (UK), and Institute of the Arts, Barcelona, and worked regularly as Vocal Captain on in-house productions.
Upon graduating, Dylan performed with K22 Productions on their summer Cruise season, before touring Spain in Romeo & Juliet.
As an Actor, Dylan has also performed in several leading roles in productions such as The Addams Family, Into the Woods, Bonnie & Clyde, Footloose (Also Assistant MD), The Witches of Eastwick, and worked as a Backing Vocalist for Josh Groban’s UK Tour.
As Vocal Coach, his work spans across a West End client-base, as well as lecturing in institutions including Emil Dale Academy and LMA. Dylan also worked with the International Choir of Sitges and on several short film projects, and most recently was Resident Vocal Coach for Barcelona’s English premiere of “Ordinary Days.”
Dylan is extremely passionate about Vocal Technique and Vocal Health, and can’t wait to share this with the freshest talent in the industry.

Since graduating in 2006, Chris has worked extensively in London, across the UK, and internationally, as a pianist, musical director, conductor and teacher.
Most recent UK credits include: Musical Director for ‘Sunset Boulevard in Concert: At Home’ (Leicester Curve worldwide stream recording), Associate Musical Director for ‘The King and I’ (UK and International Tour), Assistant Musical Director for ‘Sunset Boulevard’ (Leicester Curve and UK and International Tour), Assistant Musical Director for ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ (West Yorkshire Playhouse and Tour), Associate Musical Director and Associate Conductor for The Thursford Christmas Spectacular, Assistant Musical Director on tours of ‘Oklahoma!’, ‘Annie Get Your Gun’, and ‘High Society’, and cover conductor on the UK tour of ‘Oliver!’. Prior to this, Chris was musical director for the whatsonstage.com award-winning all-male ‘The Pirates of Penzance’ at The Union Theatre, Southwark, Wilton’s Music Hall, and The Rose Theatre, Kingston.
International credits include: Associate Conductor and Associate Musical Director of Musical Theatre at the Landestheater Linz, Austria, on productions of ‘Lazarus’, ‘Ragtime’, ‘Chess’ and ‘An American in Paris’, and Assistant Musical Director for ‘Grease’ at the Ljubljana International Festival, Slovenia.
Teaching work includes: Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, The Arts Educational School, Chiswick, and Millennium Performing Arts College.

Alex Tomkins is an Actor who graduated from Rose Bruford Drama School in 2004. These past 18 years he has worked all over the country including London’s glittering West End.
Recent work includes The Commitment at The Palace Theatre. Royal Shakespeare Company Stratford and The School of Rock (West End and Tour).
Alongside this work, Alex is a passionate Teacher of Acting, Singing, Musical Theatre and Musicianship and has helped many students to get into Drama Schools.

Marcus trained at The Arts Educational School of Musical Theatre, graduating with a BA(hons).
He worked extensively in all areas of the industry, from Musical Theatre, touring plays, Cruise Ships, Cabarets and radio plays.
After 12 years of performing Marcus moved into teaching, working as a voice, musical theatre and acting coach in various vocational colleges across the UK.
With a passion for continued professional development, Marcus is on the cusp of qualifying as an Estill Master Voice Teacher as well as completing an MA in Professional Practice.
Marcus is delighted to be joining the faculty at Addict and is looking forward to working with the Musical Theatre students to help them become to best performers in the industry.

After training at Arts Educational I spent 12 years in the West End, playing everything from swing to ensemble to cover to lead roles. Shows include Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Martin Guerre, Starlight Express, Elvis the Musical, Great Balls of Fire. I have worked with some of the world’s leading directors and practitioners including: Trevor Nunn, Nicholas Hytner, Bill Kenwright, Simon Usher, John Caird, Sarah Travis, John Doyle.
Through workshops I have met and talked to: Peter Brook, Harold Pinter, Arthur Miller, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jason Robert Brown amongst others.
My influences as a lecturer come from a range of the above directors and practitioners, and I also reference the styles of Declan Donnellan, Stanislavski, Meisner, Locoq, David Mamet and Frantic Assembly.
I’m experienced teaching a wide range of Acting and Singing techniques and have directed many projects, devised shows, Musicals, site-specific pieces and cabarets.
My BA is in Musical Theatre – dissertation on Rodgers and Hammerstein and the integrated Musical. My MA is on Shakespeare and Hamlet and the soliloquies. My PhD is on Shakespeare and Hamlet and Philosophy. I’m ahead of schedule to submit my thesis this Autumn. I have a Cert Ed – from The Institute of Education – it was a pilot course for ex-professional performers – and was terrific.

ANDRE REBELO
André was born in Portugal and moved to England at the age of 11. André began his professional training in 2011 at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance where he graduated with BA Hons Degree. André then further developed his dance training through the JV2 Professional Development Course as part of which he performed in Jasmin Vardimon Company’s ‘Maze’. André has since worked as a freelance dancer and teacher performing in works by Aoi & Esteban, Jasmin Vardimon (Tannahaüser), Otto Pilcher, and IJAD Dance Company as well as regularly teaching at Addict Dance Academy. Since 2017 André has worked as a company dancer for Jasmin Vardimon Company performing in Pinocchio, Medusa and the current production of ALICE VR, as well as being commissioned as a guest choreographer for JV2 2018. André is also an Education Facilitator for Jasmin Vardimon Company leading various workshops and courses such as Gulbenkian/Jasmin Vardimon Youth Company and JVIntensive, and most recently has become the new JV2 Programme Leader for JV2 2021. André has recently also received his first Arts Council England grant and launched his own company – Rebelo Dance Company.

ZITA LUKACS
Zita has been training dance for 5 years at the College of Arts in Hungary where she’s been part of numerous competitions and dance performances before she came to England. Then she studied another 5 years and achieved her Foundation Degree in Dance with Distinction and BA (Hons) Professional Studies (Performing Arts). She also holds a PTLLS and PGCE.
Zita performed in television shows like Come dine with me and Got to Dance. She took part in a professional dance performance with Retina Dance Company and continues to perform and maintain her own professional development by attending to master-classes and workshops. Zita now aims to focus on sharing her skills and expertise in contemporary dance at Addict Dance Academy with aspiring new talent.

ade has studied dance extensively since a very young age and worked to gain a PhD in Dance from De Montfort University. She has worked extensively in education, and in particular has taught across FE and HE, lecturing on Dance, Performing Arts & Community Practice Programmes. She has previously developed degree programmes in partnership with De Montfort University, University of Bolton and University of East Anglia. She has worked on various freelance and choreography projects and in community settings. Jade has a developing research profile and presents work at conferences. Her research interests are varied, ranging from fitness for dancers; gender and sexuality; identity, race and cultural politics and postcolonial dance.
KELLY RYAN
KELLY RYAN
Kelly has been a dedicated dance educator for 24 years, graduating from Middlesex University with a degree in Dance Performance and gaining her PGCE from Greenwich University.
Throughout her career she has worked as a dance lecturer, freelance dance practitioner and dance curriculum researcher and writer. In 2007, Kelly lectured at the University of East London and during her time there researched and wrote the BA(Hons) Urban Dance Practice degree.
During her teaching career Kelly has worked in partnership with a range of dance organisations, dance artists and dance companies to enrich student learning. Kelly contributed her research to a chapter of a NESTA funded publication ‘The Creative College’ in 2005 addressing the dynamics of teaching and learning of intermediate performing arts students.
Working in collaboration with East London Dance, Kelly successfully delivered The Community Dance Practitioner course and worked with ELD and peers to secured Arts Council England and British Arts Council funding to co-deliver ‘People Moving: Towards an Integrated learning culture for Dance’ internationally.

Angela joined Addict Dance Academy as BTEC course leader in 2017.
Angela started dancing when she was 3 years of age and worked her way through the BTDA syllabus as well as competing and taking part in annual shows. Although dance has remained her main hobby and passion, Angela decided to take a business studies path after college and went to university to study psychology, Human Resource Management, and Marketing gaining a BA hons Degree. Angela then went on to have a successful 18 year career in Administration and management and has now been able to combine her love of dance and her career by moving into the Performing Arts industry full time.
