GOVERNANCE AND COMPANY STRUCTURE

Addict Dance Academy operates as a private limited company, with governance structured to ensure clear separation between strategic oversight and day-to-day operational management. The Academy is governed by a Board of Directors, which provides strategic direction, financial oversight, and ensures that the organisation fulfils its legal and regulatory responsibilities. The Board comprises both Executive and Independent Non-Executive Directors whose collective expertise spans education, governance, finance, business, and regulatory compliance.

The day-to-day management of the Academy is delegated to the Executive Team, led by the Chief Executive Officer and Principal. The Executive Team is responsible for the delivery of the Academy’s Further and Higher Education provision, operational performance, quality assurance, student experience, and the implementation of the strategic objectives set by the Board. Collectively, the Executive Team brings extensive experience in the leadership and management of post-16 and higher education, vocational training, and the performing arts sector.

To support effective governance and continuous improvement, the Board structure is supported by a number of committees and formal review groups that provide oversight of key areas including policies, procedures, academic standards, student outcomes, quality assurance, and organisational performance. This includes an independent Academic Board, which provides academic scrutiny of the Academy’s higher education provision, curriculum development, assessment practices, academic quality, and enhancement activities. These governance structures ensure that decision-making is informed by appropriate expertise, evidence, and ongoing review, supporting accountability and the continuous enhancement of the student experience.
